About:

Charlie Ann Buxton crafts luxury, hand-drawn scarves inspired by a vintage style through an exploration of Merseyside's forgotten seaside towns and unique fashion identity and culture. Her scarves blend artistry and style, creating wearable works of art.

A Central Saint Martins graduate, Charlie founded her award winning brand to create pieces to be cherished for generations. Each scarf is locally crafted in England from 100% natural fibres.

Stockists include the National Galleries of Scotland, The Whitworth & The Bluecoat Display Centre.

Charlie has been awarded for UAL’s Future 50 Founders, the Joyce Clissold Scholarship for Printed Textiles Design, The Clothworkers’ Printed Textiles Scholarship, BA Textiles Material Futures Award Runner Up, as well as being featured in Elle Magazine for the Fashion Crossover sponsorship.

Committed to quality and sustainability, all our scarves are proudly made locally in England.

Why scarves?

My love for scarves began with collecting vintage pieces from the 1960s and quickly grew into an appreciation for their versatility. A scarf can be woven into everyday life. It can be styled as a headband, neck scarf, belt, top, or bag strap, or displayed as art, whether hung on a wall, framed, or draped over furniture.

Scarves blur the line between fashion and art. They allow creativity to move beyond the wardrobe and into the home, becoming pieces that are lived with rather than simply worn. I am drawn to the idea of creating artwork that can be used daily, evolving with its owner over time. Through many conversations with customers, I have heard so many stories of scarves lovingly collected by grandmothers and passed down through generations, cherished for generations.

Sustainability

Every design is created to transcend fleeting trends and seasons and to be worn, loved, and passed down for generations. Each design is hand drawn by the Charlie, ensuring a thoughtful and personal approach before being carefully printed and handcrafted in England. Commitment to exceptional quality while supporting other local artisans and small businesses.
